Prerequisite
3 Literate in English (Read & speak)
3 CV or employer letter (Work history)
3 Medically fit to work at heights
3 Certified copy of ID & work permit
Training consists of:
- Advanced Legislation Occupational Health Safety & Mine Safety Act (Theory)
- Construction Regulations (Theory) • Installation of horizontal & vertical life lines (Practical)
- Escape systems (Practical)
- Various rescue systems (Practical & theory)
- Test (Practical & theory)
- Workplace experience (Signed off by supervisor)
Competent students will receive a licence to operate from the IWH (Institute for Working at Heights) valid for three (3) years for the Unit Standard 229995 & a Certificate of Competence.
