3 Medically fit to work at heights 

3 Certified copy of ID & work permit

 

Training consists of:

US: 229994 - Assess a worksite for working at heights & prepare the fall protection plan 

  • How to perform & document a risk assessment; 1) Base line risk assessment (Theory) 2) Method statement risk assessment (Theory) 
  • Analyse a fall protection plan (Theory)
  • Complete a fall protection plan (Theory) US: 229999 - Perform a range of advanced fall arrest rescues 
  • Introduction; 1) Legislation (Theory) 2) Fall arrest plan (Theory) 3) Risk assessment (Theory) 
  • Advanced ascending & descending (Practical) 
  • Passing obstructions (Practical) Rigging systems 3:1, 5:1 & 9:1 pulley systems (Practical) 
  • Cableway systems (Practical) Workplace experience (Signed off by supervisor)

Competent students will receive a licence to operate from the IWH (Institute for Working at Heights) valid for three (3) years for the Unit Standard 229994 & 229999 & a Certificate of Competence.
